Gary Grigsby's War in Russia
Matrix Games offers fans and collectors of Wargames game GARY Grigsby of his time at Strategic Simulations, Inc. (SSI) came out in 1993, this is Gary Grigsby's War in Russia and presents another version of War of the Century, as it was sometimes called the Russian front in World War II.
Obviously the game features scenarios starting from the beginning of Operation Barbarossa in 1941 until July 1945, a total of four years covering the war, we have 8 stages namely: Campaign 41, Campaign 42, Typhoon, Case Blue, Campaign 43, Uranus, 44 and Bagration Campaign.
Each hexagon is 20 miles and each turn represents 1 week. The scale of units of land is at the level of body and every body can be composed of 1 to 8 divisions. The
units in the game may contain squads of infantry, artillery, antitank weapons, tanks and reconnaissance vehicles. This year
MatrixGames created in 2000 to adapt part of the game to new platforms, new maps were made and improved.
The game as in the case of Gary Grigsby's Pacific War: Matrix Edition features a graphical look retro, but keeps the spirit of its first version, if you do not mind this aspect, you're back to enjoying this classic and if you like the game with a level of complexity acceptable for a player with experience, you now have the option to download it free.
